California Pork Chops by Suzie
I have had this recipe for at least 30 years! I love it!- 6 loin pork chops
- 1/4 cup flour
- Salad oil
- 2 oranges, peeled and sliced
- 5 T brown sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 T. chopped parsley
- Season chops with salt and pepper and roll in flour. Brown in the oil over medium heat.
- Arrange in a shallow baking pan.
- Sprinkle orange slices with 3 T of the brown sugar and let stand.
- Blend cornstarch with wine, orange juice, marjoram and the remaining brown sugar.
- Pour over pork.
- Top with onion slices sprinkled with parsley.
- Cover & bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Arrange oranges on top and cook an additional 15 minutes uncovered.
